Mt. 1:16-17 - .... Jacob [was] the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.
Mt. 16 - He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. (See also, Mark 8:27-29, Lk. 9:18-20.)
Jn. 1:40 - One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus[a] was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).
Acts
5:42 - And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.
9:22 - But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.
17:2-3 - And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”
18:5 - When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.
18:24,27-28 - Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, competent in the Scriptures.... And when he wished to cross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed, for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.
Savior
Lk 2:11 - For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Jn. 4:42 - They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”
Acts 5:31 - God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
Acts 13:23 - Of this man's offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.
Philippians 3:20 - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
